About me

Hello, everyone, my name is Shanna. I’m a mother of four, and live in the Hempstead area with my husband and our two youngest children. My oldest two kiddos have left the nest! I’m a Texas native and a combination city girl and country girl wrapped in one. I grew up drawing and doodling on my homework and have always loved art. As a child I enjoyed going to art museums and looking through my mother’s art books. My interest in art grew during college while studying Art History and I began dabbling in painting soon after. I am a self taught artist and my preferred mediums are acrylics and watercolors. I enjoy using a variety of tools and techniques to create my art. My goal is to utilize the talent God has given me to create pieces that bring joy and light into your home. I was an Associate Artist at the Treehouse Art Collective in Corpus Christi from May 2018-January 2019, and was the February 2019 Featured Artist at Green Light Coffee in downtown Corpus Christi. I was a vendor at the 2019 Fall Houston Home & Garden Show, and again at the Spring 2020 Houston Home & Garden Show. I was most recently a featured vendor at The Revival Mercantile in downtown Brenham until they closed in December 2022. I am thankful for all of the opportunities I have to meet collectors, and art lovers alike, and look forward to sharing my art with you!

Sounds of Love

As Christian, I believe we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ, to be cheerful givers, and to help others. Though being a stay-at-home mom hasn’t left me many opportunities to go out into the mission field, this is something that has always been close to my heart. After seeking a way to honor God with my work I have decided to partner with Sounds of Love and donate a percentage of every sale to this Christian Non-Profit Charity.

This beautiful charity was formed in September 2015 by Joselino Mendez Romero and Angela Lipe-Pattengill. Together they bring music to the impoverished children of Guatemala. Joselino and Angela share God's love through teaching orchestra and providing opportunities for children to be involved in Christ-centered activities that give them hope for a better future.
